Heading types explained

The “heading” of a curtain is how the top edge of the fabric is constructed. This section of the curtain also includes the mechanism to hang the curtain to your pole or track.

There are many many heading styles but we make it simple and offer the five most popular types that will look great in any type of home.

Eyelet / Grommet

Embroidered rings within the curtain heading that slide onto a pole (Suitable for: Pole)

Pinch Pleat

Pleats sewn into the heading for neat, formal folds. Ours is a double pleat. (Suitable for: Pole or Track)

Pencil Pleat

A manual pinch using “W” hooks producing a more relaxed style (Suitable for: Pole or Track)

Tab Top
